Chumphon Pinnacle

  • description: the opinion this is the most attractive dive site off the coast of Koh Tao, at the same time quite difficult due to frequent strong currents; Chumphon is one big pinnacle with an oval cross-section, which has a beginning at 14 m and extends to a depth of 35 m; they are scattered around the massive rock, and nearby there is a smallerpinnacle, Barracuda Rock; excellent visibility and the presence of numerous species of pelagic and reef makes diving here is always great adventure; you can meet whale sharks, oceanic white tip sharks, giant barracuda, tuna, seriola, grouper, sailfish.

HTMS Sattakut

  • description: amphibious assault ship wreck from World War II, sunk in June 2011 in order to create artificial coral and of course interesting dive site; 48 meters long and 7 meters wide, the total height from the keel to the top of the mast is 18 meters; perfectly preserved rifle 2 turrets, bridge control; in addition to numerous species of fish you can meet the resident turtle.

MV Trident

  • description: another artificial dive site, the wreck of the cruise boats sunk September 2010 in the southern part of the island of Koh Tao; artificial reef provides shelter to numerous species of fish and sea creatures.

Samran Pinnacle

  • depth: 12-40 m
  • degree of difficulty: advanced
  • description: the dive site is located about 20 km north of Koh Phangan, not far Sail Rock; there are three closely spaced pinnacles, extending from a depth of 15 meters below the surface, up to 40 m; you can meet the typical life reef: many corals, sea anemones, mussels.

Shark Island

  • degree of difficulty: advanced
  • description: this is a small uninhabited island located southeast of Koh Tao, and its slopes fall slightly from the surface to 25m; huge boulders and rock formations form makse an interesting dive site; beautiful clusters of soft corals are a refuge for many fish; there you can see moray eels, porcupinefishes, angelfishes, stingrays, a lucky hit the turtles, whale sharks and leopard sharks.

Southwest Pinnacle

  • description: a series of rock formations located at depths of 5 to 30m, surrounding the main pinnacle; covered with fabulously colorful anemones; there is a big school of snappers, you can see porcupinefishes, groupers, lots of shrimp, moray eels, scorpion fish, stonefish; this place also visit leopard sharks and whale sharks.

No Name Pinnacle
